Hij studeerde techniek aan het Miami Dade College in 1978 . Vervolgens studeerde hij communicatieontwerp en beeldende kunst aan de Parsons School of Design in New York, waar hij in 1983 afstudeerde 1 . Meyer Vaisman wordt beïnvloed door pop, minimalisme en conceptuele kunst 1 .
